Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes â A PatientâFriendly Medical Guide
Overview
Bone marrow failure syndromes (BMFS) are a group of rare, often inherited, disorders in which the marrow cannot produce adequate numbers of blood cells (red cells, white cells, and platelets). The result is pancytopeniaâa deficiency of all three major blood lineages. The most common conditions in this family are:

- Fanconi anemia (FA)

Symptoms
