What is Impotence (Erectile Dysfunction)?
Erectile dysfunction (ED), commonly called impotence, is the consistent inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. It is a symptom rather than a disease, reflecting problems in the blood vessels, nerves, hormones, or emotional state that are needed for an erection.
